This month in DCAL's Learning Community for Future Faculty (LCFF), we will learn about the importance of incorporating mindfulness practices to support physical and mental health and overall well-being of ourselves and our students and mentees. We will explore the numerous benefits from regularly engaging in activities with peers to promote wellness, and strategies and resources for implementation in academic settings.
LCFF, a community of graduate students and postdocs focused on teaching and learning, will meet monthly to share the rewards and challenges of college teaching, while digging a bit deeper into best practices and techniques for teaching and related career development issues. Each topic/session will be chosen and designed by members of the group, so it's also a chance to get more teaching experience. Regular attendance is appreciated but not required - come when you can! Lunch will be available when we start.

    Audience: Graduate students, postdocs
    Registration: Required
    Mode: In-person
