NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Proposal Workshop Series

    This four part series of workshops is designed to support graduate students in their first or second years who are submitting applications for the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship award.

    The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. GRFP seeks to broaden participation in science and engineering of underrepresented groups, including women, minorities, persons with disabilities, and veterans. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support inclusive of an annual stipend of $37,000. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.

    The series will focus on GRFP’s but the information discussed will be relevant to many types of NSF grants. Attendance in all four sessions is not required.

    By the end of the course, participants will have strong drafts of the Graduate Research Plan Statement and Personal, Relevant Background and Future Goals Statement of the grant, for submission to the October NSF GRFP deadlines.
